Upon arrival at the airport they will be greeted by our guide to go to our office of Tambopata Tours in
the city of Puerto Maldonado, where we will register and will have opportunity to buy some things that
may be required as batteries, waterproof etc.
Then we will move along a stony path to new port in the community of Infierno, during the journey, we can
see different types of forest, crops traditional bananas and citrus, livestock pastures, broken etc.
In Puerto Nuevo, we board our boat and start our journey of an hour and a half along the Tambopata River.
On the way we will take our lunch, which consist of vegetarian chaufa rice wrapped in leaf of bijao
accompanied by fruit, biscuits and a bottle of water.
We enter the area of quenching of the reserve national Tambopata in the Bahuaja Sonene National Park,
during the trip, you will appreciate the riparian flora formed by canabravales, cecropias, ficus and
fauna as well as birds that live near rivers, Orioles and their hanging nests, herons and others that
cross flying macaws, toucans, etc.
Occasionally you will also appreciate the mammals as: capybara, some reptiles resting on the banks, such as caimans and turtles.
Upon arrival to INOTAWA, us will receive the administrator and the guide will give indications for a best stay, to then show the different areas of the lodge and the location of its rooms.
In the afternoon depart with our guide on a hike by the habitat of the place, to observe the fauna and flora that surrounds us as trogons, partridges, pavas, and trees, such as the Shihuahuacos, kapok, Ceiba, head, etc. Because getting back will be insects and arthropods like tarantulas, several species of frogs, all in a tropical concert.
After dinner, the guide will give us a descriptive discussion of the activities of the programme.
Very early will have the opportunity to move boat 10 min to Colpa La Torre, a ravine of 4m high and 20m
long, which has streaks of clay needed for the diet of the macaws, parrots, parakeets and occasionally some
mammal as deer, capybara, squirrels, etc. The place is a hideaway of observation just 30 m from the wall of
clay which allows an excellent observation point.

Traditional agriculture is practiced in the area, visit a family community Tower, a good opportunity to recognize several exotic fruits of the Amazon, such as the copazu, araza, pijuayo, yucca, pineapple, as well as spices, stick and sacha cilantro and medicinal plants as the pinion, cane, piri piri, and are commonly used by people in the community.
The crops in the fields, also have open areas with papayales and banana which attract different types of birds, fruit, like pico platas, orioles, oropendolas, afternoon, carpenters, etc.
After a break we move down the river for 15 minutes and a hike of 45 min to the Tres Chimbadas Lake.

The hike to the Lake cocococha lasts 2 hours and 30 min. It is very interesting because we pass through
different forest types with very important species in biodiversity of mother of God as the Syrinx (and
chestnut. The Cocococha Lake is located in the Tambopata national reserve, has an area of 60 hectares
surrounded by aguajales, shoals and heights creates an ecosystem of high biodiversity that joined the

We return to INOTAWA to serve us lunch to then go to the farm.
